What it does

Browser Automation

Let your AI navigate, click, type, and extract data from any website. It sees the page through DOM snapshots and screenshots, then acts step-by-step.

Web Clipper

Save any page as a bookmark or clip selected text as a note — directly into your myOS knowledge base with one click.

AI Handoff

Select text on any page and hand it off to your AI for analysis, summarization, or action. Auto-fill forms with your stored myOS data.

Installation

Download the extension

Click the button above to download the ZIP file.

Unzip the file

Extract the ZIP to a folder on your computer. Keep this folder — Chrome needs it to stay installed.

Open Chrome Extensions

Navigate to chrome://extensions in your browser, or go to Menu → Extensions → Manage Extensions.

Enable Developer Mode

Toggle the Developer Mode switch in the top-right corner of the extensions page.

Load the extension

Click "Load unpacked" and select the folder you extracted in step 2.

Connecting to your myOS instance

Click the extension icon

Find the myOS Web Companion icon in your browser toolbar. You may need to pin it from the puzzle piece menu.

Enter your myOS server URL

This is the URL of your myOS instance (e.g. https://you.myos.app).

Sign in

Enter your username and password. The extension will securely connect to your instance.

How browser automation works

When you ask your AI to perform a browser task, the extension and your AI work together in a loop:

Snapshot

The extension captures the current page structure and sends it to your AI.

Analyze & Decide

Your AI reads the page, identifies interactive elements, and decides the next action.

Act

The extension clicks, types, scrolls, or navigates on the AI's behalf.

Confirm

For sensitive actions (payments, form submissions), the AI asks for your approval first.

Requirements

  • Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc, or any Chromium-based browser
  • A running myOS instance (local or production)
  • Your myOS username and password for production instances
